Review: Angie Nelson's Ebook, Hot Home Business Ideas

The following is a post by freelancer Melissa Batai. Read more of her articles at Mom's Plans.

Angie, the force behind The Work at Home Wife, has just released a new ebook, Hot Home Business Ideas. Angie's blog is full of work at home tips, and in her ebook, she targets some of the best jobs for those looking to work from home.

At just 25 pages, this ebook is a quick read. I finished it in less than 30 minutes. It is also a bargain at $2.99 for Kindle. If you are looking to begin working from home, this ebook is an excellent springboard.

Book Features

Detailed list of traits an entrepreneur should possess.

Do you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur? Not everyone does, and that is okay, but it is important to know if you possess the qualities before you leap into a home-based business. Nelson spends some time giving the qualities an entrepreneur needs.

Suggestions for 10 home-based businesses.

All of the 10 businesses Nelson gives are excellent home-business jobs, and they tap a variety of skills individuals may have. There should be at least one suggestion that will work for each person reading the ebook.

Strategies for marketing your new business.

To me, this is the most valuable section of the book. After each job, Nelson gives some creative ways to market your business. Setting up a home-based business is one thing, but creating a successful one through marketing is another thing. Even if you aren't a natural at marketing, you should be able to come up with some marketing strategies thanks to Nelson's suggestions

The Verdict

While I wish Nelson would have gone even further into the step-by-step process of how to set up each of the different types of businesses, I recognize this is not entirely possible because regulations are different for each state.

If you are just beginning to search for a work at home business or if you already have the business but are looking for ways to market it better, this book is a good one to buy, and at $2.99, almost everyone can afford it.
