How to Advertise Your Blog Giveaways

Blog giveaways are a great way to grow your blog.  Who doesn't like free stuff?  Once you secure products to review and giveaway, your next task is to make sure to advertise your giveaway.  After all, if no one knows about your giveaway, you'll not see a bump in traffic even if it's an excellent prize.

If you want to draw more traffic to your giveaway, here are some ways you can advertise your giveaway:

1.  Advertise on Online Sweepstakes.

Online Sweepstakes is a huge database of current giveaways.  (At the time of this writing, there are 7,580 current sweepstakes on the site.)  These sweepstakes are from bloggers and large companies.  To add your giveaway, you'll need to join the site and fill out the form to add a sweep.  This is all free.

2.  Link up to other bloggers' linkies.

Many bloggers offer linkies once a week where you can link your giveaway.  A site like Savings Lifestyle lists many linkies available by day.  Of course, this list is not always current because some bloggers stop their linkies without warning.  However, it's a great way to advertise your giveaway every day and reach a variety of people.

3.  Advertise your low entry giveaways.

Many people like to enter low entry giveaways because the chances of winning are better.  Tightwad in Utah lists all the low entry giveaways ending within the next 7 days.  You just fill out a simple online form.  The rule is that your giveaway must be ending in 7 days or less and that it must have less than 200 entries.

4.  Hire someone to advertise for you.

If this all sounds like too much work, you can always hire someone to advertise for you.  A virtual assistant could do this, or you could hire someone like Blog Giveaway Directory to advertise your giveaways for you.

Securing a great giveaway is just the first step to drawing traffic to your blog.  Perhaps more important is advertising your giveaway so people know about it and tell their friends.
