How to Make Money as an Educents Affiliate Blogger

Do you homeschool? Are you interested in education? Do you have a blog?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you may be a great fit for one of my favorite affiliate programs. Educents is a popular and growing online marketplace for toys, books, curriculum, and printables that is easy to shop and has fast become one of my favorite places to buy learning materials for my kids.

If you blog, you may be trying to find ways to earn more (because Adsense just doesn't pay the bills.) Becoming an Educents affiliate may help you fill in your earnings gaps, and it's pretty easy, too!

Here's why I like it:

Educents is a great deal

Not only do they regularly offer freebies and sale items, they give customers 5% back on their purchases as credit for future buys. I am always buying from their site, then banking my credit to buy future homeschool supplies. It's great for my big family!

Promotion is natural and engaging

If you hate filling your social media streams and blogs with "buy this" posts, you are not alone. I hate promotion, especially when it seems spammy. Sharing Educents doesn't feel that way however. Every time I tweet a great deal or share a giveaway going on, I feel like I'm helping parents and teaching. Serving others should come first, and the Educents affiliate program makes that a focus.

Frugal is all the rage, and while other affiliate programs make you feel like your'e pushing people to buy things they don't need, it's great to regularly share deals like Educents' $15 and Under resources, freebies, and giveaway offers.

Affiliates get awesome tools

Unlike other affiliate programs, you aren't just creating links to stuff into posts or paste into your Facebook feed. Educents provides their affiliate with banners, pre-written social media post that you can pop into your Buffer or Shareist dashboard, and even Pinterest-worthy blog posts that you can add your referral link into within minutes! See this sample post they recently provided for me to share on my mom blog  (whichincluded photos and html code to paste right into my blog post): 10 Best Math Games for Teaching Kids at Home.

They help you grow your community

When you grow, Educents grows, so they work hard to promote their affiliates. They often have open calls for guest posts, and some of my best-converting traffic came from guest posts I have written on the Educents blog!

They do fun bonuses and prizes

Like other affiliates, there is opportunities to earn more during certain times of the year. They also do contests to reward their top-performers!

Payouts are great!

Earnings are currently 10% of each sale. People who shop for big curriculum items (entire grade level sets valued in the hundreds of dollars) can get you $10-50 per sale! You get paid each month that you've reached $25 in earnings, and -- unlike other programs -- your earnings never expire. Choose to be paid by Paypal, check, or store credit; those who choose store credit will be 150% of their earnings paid for credit!  (This is an especially good deal for teachers or homeschoolers who want to stretch their budget.)

While I highly recommend that anyone who has ever shopped Educents and also blogs sign up for their program, you don't have to be a homeschooler to earn. Anyone with a blog who meets their quality standards would make a great affiliate. You can learn about their payouts and requirements here.
