How to Start a Monthly Subscription Service Business

Today's I Want to Be features Molly.  She is mom to three children, ages 8, 5 and 3--two boys and a girl who is pretty convinced she's in charge.  Her family is a homeschooling family that never really sits down, loves the Catholic Church, nature, and being with each other.  She is always looking for ways to teach and inspire a deep passion for God.  Find out how to connect with Molly at the end of this article.

How long have you had your business?

Saint Mail officially launched this past year on November 1st, All Saints Day. It is a monthly subscription service that helps busy families meet and learn about the saints. Each month a saint mails a package to the family with a letter introducing themselves, crafts , a lots of other goodies!

What led you to pursue it?

I had such a need for this product in my own life. I was trying so hard to pass on every wonderful aspect of our Catholic Faith and kept falling short on introducing the saints. I would try to get everything ready on time but I would forget a major part of the craft at the store. I, of course, would remember while I was buckling all three little ones back into the car. . .in the rain!:) We are so blessed to have all these wonderful examples of how to live out our faith, and I couldn't let it slide through the cracks!

How do you market your business?

I find that blogs are a good way to reach your direct audience. Word of mouth has also been extremely helpful. Mothers are really good at supporting each other and sharing something that they have found helpful.

What is your favorite part of the business?

I love to learn even more about the saints that God has blessed us with. I also love helping the next generation find and connect with friends in heaven!

What one question do you get most from people about your business?

Where do you find the time? The answer is simple--God always finds the time for the important stuff!

What advice do you have for others who want to get into a similar opportunity?

Following God's will is both petrifying and fulfilling. Chat it over with Him, and then get to work!

What is the first step?

Prayer and a plan!

You can learn more about what Molly does at her website, Saint Mail, and on Twitter.
