Believe, Plan, Act Planner Review

If you’re a writer or you aspire to be a writer, you may want to take a look at Believe, Plan, Act: A Platform + Productivity Planner for Writers by Kimberley Grabas. This planner is specially made for writers, but also includes a comprehensive guide to help you make next year your best writing year ever.

What’s in the Believe, Plan, Act Planner?

Grabas first offers nine strategies to make the planner work for you including suggesting you make Sunday your strategy day and that you plan in non-negotiables like me time, family time, vacation time first, BEFORE scheduling your writing work.

The planner has three major sections:

Believe

If you struggle with a negative thinking, this section is for you. Grabas offers strategies for overcoming a negative mindset. She also suggests daily tasks to achieve your personal goals such as exercising for 30 minutes and taking 10 to 15 minutes a day on personal development.

The rest of the plan section focus on a growth mindset, which is so essential to growing your writing career. However, you’re not just reading Grabas’ advice. The planner has plenty of room for you to answer questions related to the topic Grabas is covering such as “Are there times/situations where you prioritize approval over learning? How can you limit or avoid this?” or “How will you take responsibility for your writing career going forward?”

Plan

Grabas opens the Plan section by asking you to look at what you’ve accomplished over the last 12 months and also set goals for what you want to accomplish in the upcoming 6 to 12 months.
She breaks down the Plan section into eight separate sections:

  • Brainstorm & Prioritize
  • Marketing Summary and Business Plan
  • Blogging & Post Planning
  • Email List Building
  • Social Media Campaigns
  • Launch Planning & Execution
  • Network & Relationship Building
  • The Authorpreneur & Advanced Platform Building

The Plan section is so comprehensive and offers great advice for what you should be doing in each of these areas to successfully grow your business.

Act

The last section of the planner is where you will take all of the information from Believe and Plan sections and turn it into actionable steps. You’ll set up 90-day action plans to accomplish your goals. Grabas also includes weekly planning pages and, something I think all writers will love, a place to write down your daily writing word count.

Additional Bonuses

In addition to the content to help you plan your year and the planner itself, you’ll also receive several bonuses including a Resource for Writers PDF, a Reach Your Big Goals PDF, and a Tools, Tips, + Ideas for Creating an Irresistible Opt-In Incentive video, among many other bonuses.

Our Thoughts on the Planner

This planner is thorough and would likely take a few days’ time to read and then plan out your year. However, if you take the time to do so, you will have a comprehensive strategy for growing and marketing your writing. Also, I love that Grabas also asks you to focus on your family and your own needs in addition to your writing career.
