How to Organize Your Blogging Schedule
If you're anything like me, you're juggling so many things--from kids' schoolwork to kids' sports activities, to your own obligations, to blogging--that unless you have everything written down, it won't get done.
Taking an afternoon or evening to plan out your blogging
schedule for the rest of the month takes the effort out of blogging. After all, sometimes the hardest part about
blogging is choosing what to write about. If you haven't really planned before, you may be surprised
how simple it can be and how much time it can save you. Here are some tips to get started:
Pick the planner that works best for you
There are so many planners available. If you prefer, choose a digital planner or an
old fashioned paper planner (my personal favorite). It doesn't matter which one you choose as
long as it's one you feel comfortable using.
Pick a theme for the posts.
Pick a theme for the posts.
Some people follow a weekly theme--DIY posts on Monday, techniques and
tips posts on Wednesday, weekend reading on Friday. Others choose a theme for the month and try
to have the majority of the posts revolve around that theme. The choice is yours, but be consistent.
Pencil in and outline the posts.

The next step is to put to paper (or screen),
the posts you plan to write for the upcoming month. Remember any obligations you may have such as
sponsored posts, reviews or giveaways.
For the posts you plan to write, try to also include two to four main points you'll make in the post. Then, when you sit down to actually write the post, you'll already have the topic and the main points, making your writing session easier and faster. If you have additional time when you're planning, you may want to also select the pictures for the posts.
Creating a blogging schedule is a task that may seem
intimidating, but it's not really that difficult, and it can save you a great
deal of time throughout the month.
