Why Paper Matters: Better Choices for Printing with Boise

This is a sponsored post. Opinions are our own.

I bet you don't think much about the printing paper that you use. I know that I didn't for some time. Then I started printing more professional projects with my home office printer that required some pretty sharp colors and graphics. That's when I noticed it... my printer paper was pretty low quality!

I had the idea that to get a great, crisp printing experience, I would need to sacrifice. I even considered the possibility that a recycled paper product would not meet my needs. I couldn't be more incorrect!

Can you tell the difference?

In fact, in a recent comparison between the Boise ASPEN 30 Multi-Use Copy paper and the Boise X-9 Multi-Use Copy paper, I was very surprised! I could see little to no difference between my projects -- something I didn't expect when using recycled.

Think of all the things you use printer paper for in our home office:
  • Letters
  • Invoices
  • Business Cards
  • Receipts
My Etsy stores, consulting business, freelance writing gigs, and homeschool projects all use a lot of paper. And while I've always known that ink can make a big difference in how everything comes out, I didn't realize the impact paper did. I always assumed recycled paper was inferior somehow, but I was wrong!

Boise recycled paper comes in three varieties, the 30 percent post-consumer content blend, 50 percent, and even 100 percent! All are made to be consistent in appearance and functionality. It even comes with a Jam-Free guarantee! You don't have to worry about your paper getting stuck in your printer ever again. They guarantee it to be 99% jam-free. The recycled paper also boasts a brightness that hasn't traditionally been associated with recycled paper. No dingy or dull paper here; the ASPEN 30 recycled paper I used was crisp and bright!

Ready to make the switch? Before you ditch all of your traditional paper and go recycled, there are some things you should know.

1. It’s best to use a mix of recycled and non-recycled paper in your day-to-day life. This ensures that new wood fibers are introduced into the recycled loop.

2. Paper can only be recycled 7 times before the original wood fibers are fully broken down (and not usable), making it important to mix up your routine with both recycled and non-recycled paper.

You can learn more about the benefits of using recycled paper, as well as see the Boise paper product best suited for your home business needs at the official Boise Paper blog.

  2. We haave an ebay store so we use a lot of paper for that. No invoices but you still have to do a paper for each transaction for tax records so it adds up to a ton of paper.

  6. I mainly use it for note taking and printing. If I print something out that I no longer need, I keep it so I can write on the back if I ever need scrap paper.
