4 Courses to Help You Become a Successful Virtual Assistant

Working as a virtual assistant can be a great way to earn an income from home. Many virtual assistants  have secretarial or social media or accounting experience, but not all do.

If you’ve decided that you would like to be a VA but feel that you need more experience or skills, there are many places you can go to train to become a virtual assistant.

Moms Work Hard

The three-hour Moms Work Hard course was created by Carlee and Victoria, two moms who have worked from home as virtual assistants for years.  The course contains three modules—build it, work it, and own it.

You watch the videos on your own time, and you have access to the course content forever.  You can also join the student-only Facebook group, where they answer questions and occasionally post jobs.

This course costs $105 and is broken down into three payments of $35.  If you’re not satisfied with the course, you can ask for a full refund within the first 14 days of purchase.

The Savvy System

The Savvy System was created by Abbey Ashley, who runs her own six-figure virtual assistant company and has four people working under her.  This course will help give you a method for starting your VA business, sample copies of contracts, and support from experienced VAs.  For optimal success, it is recommended that you work on this course (and, therefore, your business) at least five hours per week.

While the course is closed now, it will open again in January 2020.  You can join the waitlist now, which saves you $250 if you enroll next time the course is open.  You can choose between two membership options—The Savvy System for $997, or The Savvy System (Ultimate) for $2,497.

If you have been in the course for 30 days and have done all of the work but aren’t seeing results, you can get a full refund.

Social Media United

Social Media United focuses on helping you become a social media manager.  Considering how dominant and necessary social media is for any field, this is an excellent field to go into.

The Social Media United platform was created by Rachel Pedersen, who is a full-time social media strategist and manager and has been since 2016.

You can try this platform for $1 for the first month ($69 for each month for future months or $597 a year).  You will receive access to live monthly Q & A calls, video trainings, templates, and a private community.  New trainings are being continually added.

Horkey HandBook

Horkey HandBook has a variety of courses that you can take depending on what your needs are.  Their flagship course is 30 Days or Less to Virtual Assistant Success, which walks you, step-by-step, through the process of launching your VA business.  The course costs $397 as a one-time payment, or you can choose to make 3 monthly payments of $167.

In addition to that course, you can also choose from a variety of other courses such as Email Management for Virtual Assistants, Project Management for Virtual Assistants, Real Estate for Virtual Assistants, and many more.

If you’d like to learn the skills to become a virtual assistant and create a successful business, these are just a few of the courses you can take.

If you’re a VA, did you take any courses, or did you build your business independently?
